Cambois Fair 2025

The Parish Council held their Annual Cambois Family Fun Day on Saturday 14th June. This year seen the Cambois Family Fun Day the busiest it has been yet. With a record number of attendees, it was clear that a few thunderstorm warnings were not going to stop local residents from enjoying a family day down by the beach.
It was fantastic to see the community spirit shining through, as groups could be seen unleashing their competitive side, and using their creativity to create some spectacular sandcastles during our Annual sandcastle competition. Some may even say the adults were slightly more competitive than the children! (Councillor Ward included).
Koast Radio and Richardson Amusements kindly joined us again to provide some great entertainment throughout the day. This year we were lucky to be joined by Ashley, who provided free facepainting for all, which proved a huge hit with both children and adults! A variety of stalls could be seen outside of Charltons Bar, ranging from the fair favourite tombola and teddies, to wreaths, sweets and personalised items. We even had the pleasure of being joined by Northumbria Lacemakers who provided a demonstration, and allowed people to have a go themselves to see just how intricate it really is!
The Parish Council would like to thank all who attended and helped to make the day a great success. A special thanks to Koast Radio, Richardson Amusements, FSNE Medical, All involved with The Cambois Tute, Jackie & Stevie Wilson, Ashington Swimming Club, Zena Bond, Dora’s Delights, Northumbria Lacemakers, John Charlton & Charltons Bar, Personalised with Lauren and Fabulous Faces by Ashley.
We had a fantastic day and hope you all did too. We can’t wait to see you all down there again next year for some more family fun by the beach!
